ABOUT
I'm Axel M'bemba, a footwear and industrial designer with over ten years of experience turning creative ideas into reliable products, from early concept through creative direction, development, and industrialisation.
Working across performance and lifestyle categories, from durable mass-market shoes at Decathlon to bespoke creative direction projects for brands across sport, outdoor, and urban culture. I see design as a living system that aligns form, material, function, and meaning to create lasting, desirable objects. A desirable product is often a durable one, and that conviction has shaped every project I've worked on.
Solid technical expertise across materials, CMF, concept development, and visual storytelling, combined with a genuine ability to thrive at the intersection of creative teams, R&D, and production, connecting people and skills to transform complexity into something coherent and actionable.
My approach spans the full spectrum, from high-volume production lines to exploratory material research, always guided by one principle: innovation should serve a vision, not become an end in itself.

What Drives Me
"Eyes attract images. Images trigger thoughts.
Thoughts link associations.
Associations conjure stories.
Stories create myths.
Myths generate new realities."
